Characters in the story by Indian writers Desai and Tagore experience both conflict and satisfaction from interacting with people who are unlike themselves. Discuss why such a theme might be common for a writer from this part of the world. I want to say they feel conflict because interacting with people unlike themselves is often frowned upon and that they're expected to stay near traditional people. The satisfaction might come from being able to learn new things from people who have experienced more than they've been able to. Would that be right or not? Thanks in advance

It's okay. People post literature questions in English ALL the time.

But your paragraph seems very admirable.

Thanks... I guess that's what I'll put. I just feel like I'm missing something. Not sure what it is though
