A relationship that benefits one but does not harm or benefit another would be considered commensalism. parasitism. mutualism. competition.

Mehek (mehek14):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Commensalism

Mehek (mehek14):

yup!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help with more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is it for when you are back online: Low genetic diversity in a population can lead to extinction. growth. a large population. a small habitat.

OpenStudy (matt101):

I'll ask the same question as @Mehek14 did - what do you think?

a large population or growth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well. Here's a fact that'll answer your question. When your mom and dad had you, their child, you essentially inherited a part of BOTH of their immune systems. And for this, you have a strong immune system. This is because your mom's genes and your dad's genes are different. This makes YOUR genes more DIVERSE. More broad. It makes your immune system better. Genetic diversity leads to a better immune system. Get it? Now...if you have a weaker immune system, you're more likely to die. Simple enough? So let's go back to the question. What would be more likely to happen to a population with LESS genetic diversity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

extinction

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES extinction. Great.
