How do organisms evolve? @Zale101

OpenStudy (zale101):

When successful mutations occurs over time on a population, these populations will change through time and this will cause them to evolve to become a one species. Organisms who exhibits these successful traits and are advantage than the other organisms, may continue reproducing and pass on their genes by inheritance. These traits will be more interacting to their offspring and as population grows, these traits continue to be passed on and this will create slight changes among generations. With mutations that occurs, the genetic variation (variation in alleles and genes) in a population can cause organisms to evolve through offsprings because this allows new alleles and genes to enter the gene pool. Also, environmental changes may cause a change in response and this response is what makes organisms adapt by changing overtime to fit their environment. When adaption occurs, this means that evolution has also occurred. Evolving takes time to occur depending on what the situation is (on a micro or macro level). An organism changing to a different kind takes many many years ( I don't know how much) to occur.
