A charged sphere of mass 1.00E-04 kg is suspended from a string. An electric force acts horizontally on the sphere so that the string makes an angle of 37.0 degrees with the vertical when at rest. Find the magnitude of the electric force (in newtons). I'm not sure where to go with this once I draw out the force vector diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

show your drawing if you like. this involves resolving the force (tension) in the string in the vertical and horizontal planes, and then balancing everything up using trig... hope that helps you get started
