Hook: this is composed of 1 or 2 sentence at the beginning of your paragraph that will catch the attention of the readers. You can use a rhetoric question(esp. when you're doing an argument essay), a quotation and much much more. For example you are writing about kids having a diabetes and you want to catch the attention of the parents, you'll start with a rhetoric question "Are you a good parent giving your children chocolates as a price?"

After the hook, you have the "Bridge", which will relate the hook into your thesis. From the word itself, it is a bridge connecting a sentence from another. In this case Hook-Bridge-Thesis

Statements~~honestly i'm not sure about this part. Usually this is supposed to be with the Thesis but I guess it depends on where you are learning it :) Statements: to make a proper essay, you should have at least 3 of these statement that will support your thesis and later on, you'll expand each point on the body of your essay.

Thesis: not sure how to explain this, but this shows your main idea in the whole essay :) if that makes sense . Hope this helps!
