Which describes the molecular behavior of a solid? A. Molecules vibrate around a fixed point. B. Molecules are too far apart to affect each other. C. Molecules are rigid and do not move. D. Molecules have the greatest energy of motion.
I did this a few weeks ago, and it's actually really easy to answer, you just need to think about it a little bit. Here are some questions to ask yourself: In a solid, can the molecules move a lot? Or can they only move a little bit? Are the molecules far apart or too close to each other? Also, by using the elimination process, it is easy to see that D. is not a possible answer, because it is a false statement that doesn't really make sense. I hope this helps you. :) @Deadpool117
