On March 25, 1911, a fire broke out at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York City. 146 garment workers died because they were unable to escape from the upper floors of the building. What impact did this fire have on the garment industry? 1. Groups called for the break-up of unions. 2. Groups worked to end child labor. 3. Groups lobbied for a national minimum wage. 4. Groups advocated safer working conditions for factory workers.
