Describe the amount of time needed for ecosystem recovery.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

question 2 Explain the process of succession

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Typically, an ecosystem can recover from changes and disasters on its own, but occasionally humans need to step in.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got question 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 Primary succession is the series of community changes which occur on an entirely new habitat which has never been colonized before. For example, a newly quarried rock face or sand dunes. Secondary succession is the series of community changes which take place on a previously colonized, but disturbed or damaged habitat. For example, after felling trees in a woodland, land clearance or a fire.

What is the relationship between biotic and abiotic factors?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see your new to OS So welcome to OS. some people are not like me and they'll make you close cause it's spamming. so be careful wat u post :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Abiotic components are non-living parts of an ecosystem involved in its function. In a forest, they include such fundamentals as sunlight, moisture, nutrients, bedrock and topography. Biotic components are the living members of the system, from sky-scraping canopy trees to the intestinal microbes of a shrew.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would the ecosystem’s carrying capacity for a species change, if the species cannot adapt to changes of habitat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok by ecosystem i see question marks with diamonds untill carrying what's it say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on brb 2 seconds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

times up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on brb 2 seconds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would the ecosystem’s carrying capacity for a species change, if the species cannot adapt to changes of habitat?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it did it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why are biologists concerned about ecosystem disruption?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are worried about extinction happening How many more questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you were conducting this experiment in the real world, what could be some possible sources of error in the experiment?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plants could die or an animal could die. i dont know the experiment :(
