If it takes 32.5 years for light from a star to reach Earth, how far away is the star?

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

it is 32.5 c•y (light years) away!!! the only other sensible measure is parsecs -- 1 ps = 3.26163344 c years you can turn 32,5 c•y into miles or nanometres, or even AU's, if you like, but it won't really mean much.
