Can someone explain the given of the proof for me? i don't understand what the proportions represent/mean...

Directrix (directrix):

You need to apply the SAS Triangle Similarity Theorem to get the two triangles similar. http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/geometry/gp11/LsimilarProof.htm

I don't need the answer, just an explanation for the given. i am having a hard time understanding what it means...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's defining the lengths of the sides, so the length of side PR divided by the length of side MR is the same ratio as the length of side QR divided by side NR. Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it does. Thanks!

Directrix (directrix):

Steps ---- 1. PR/MR = QR/NR 2. <R is congruent to <R 3. Triangle PRQ ~ Triangle MRN 4. <1 is congruent to <2 You try to do the reasons, okay? @one2345
