Why do you have to send ID for being 13 to become an ambassador ? Shouldn't you make people send ID to sign up on OpenStudy since that is the age limit ?

Well applying to be an ambie is a very serious thing, you can't just lie about your age and then become an ambi. For one, if we had someone that was 11 as an ambie and we found out then we would have to remove them and then suspend them until they are 13 to avoid fines and other legal stuff.

The law of being underaged on the internet is bypassed all the time, it's your decision if you want to sign-up and you're underaged but if we find out then we are forced to suspend you (not us ambis, the mods and admins) because that would be our own negligence and they would be fined.

I think they did it to prevent people from becoming an ambassador on two accounts.

Just like it's illegal to have a false identity.
