Wendy initially has 6 hours of pop music and 3 hours of classical music in her collection. Every month onwards, the hours of pop music in her collection is 9% more than what she had the previous month. Her classical music does not change. Which function shows the total hours of music she will have in her collection after x months? f(x) = 6(1.09)x + 3 f(x) = 3(1.09)x + 6 f(x) = 6(0.09)x + 3 f(x) = 3(0.09)x+ 6

you originally have 6 hours of pop music you get a 9% increase of 6 what is 9% of 6? since it was increase by 9% that is the same as 109% of the original which is the same as 6(1.09) since for each month you increase the amount of pop, you need a variable x in there, which would stand for the number of months gone by so you have 6(1.09)x you have 3 hours of classical music, add that to the amount you have so you end up getting which function?

so is it C?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

no

OpenStudy (amorfide):

6(1.09) for the 9% increase 6(1.09)x for the variable for the number of months 6(1.09)x + 3 to add on classical f(x)=6(1.09)x + 3
