OpenStudy (thesmartestderpalive):

What you do is find a number that makes all the other numbers EQUAL 180 'cause triangles ALWAYS sums up to 180

OpenStudy (thesmartestderpalive):

So you add, 62 + 28 + 50 = 140, Now you know that so find a number that makes it = 180. 140 + 40 = 180, So X is 40, Hope this helped!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a+b=c.... is 28 an angle? or the side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28 is an angle.

OpenStudy (phi):

this looks like trig , no short cut 30-60-90 triangle. Have you studied trig?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah a bit.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not quite enough to completely wrap my head around the concepts entirely though yet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Will do. Though will you explain how I find the missing side, I'm trying to catch up in class and this is the second to last question on my assignment.
