Which associations best describe the data in the table? Variable A 1 6 4 5 2 4.5 5.5 4 3 5.5 Variable B 110 0 100 60 110 70 40 85 105 20 Choose exactly two answers that are correct. A. linear association B. negative association C. nonlinear association D. positive association
@Directrix @Thatonegirl_
i think its B
there are 2 answers
Well if you sketch it out you could see the way the points go.
>>i think its B Why? @girl847
Is 1 paired with 110? The chart is off a bit at its beginning. @ACU17
The data needs to be put in order from smallest to largest according to the size of Variable A.
yeh
wait is it C n D @Directrix
Why are there two 5.5s in the A variables
I don't have answers. I'm trying to sort out the data.
and 2 4s
all I know is it aint a function
@Directrix
As variable A gets bigger, variable B gets smaller so the association is negative.
ok so negative nonlinear?
I don't agree with the nonlinear. It may not be a "perfect" line but the points seem to follow a linear pattern. Maybe you should make a scatter plot.
Idk how
It is just plotting points.
You can use this site to make a scatter plot. https://www.easycalculation.com/graphs/scatter-plot.php
We all agree on this: B. negative association To that, I go with A. linear association The others go with C. nonlinear association
