Divide Equation will be in comments

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

*the suspense*

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

haha @Thatonegirl_ :D ikr

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 9x^2yz }{2xy} * \frac{ 3xy^2 }{6xz^2 }\]

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, you're going to first want to simplify the fractions. do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

* sign is supposed to be a division sign

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

oh, okay. thanks for clarifying XD still, start with the same step.. simplify the fractions. do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This what it simplifies to?

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

Just a real quick shortcut, when diving by a fraction (which is what you are doing), remember this saying: keep it, change it, flip it. Meaning keep the first part (the 1st fraction), then change it-change the division sign to a multiplication, and then flip it-flip the last fraction (put the denominator on top, and numerator on bottom). Multiple across and then you can simplify.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

or, you could do what @Thatonegirl_ said, that'd be easier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does it equal 9yz

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

\[ \frac{ 9x^2yz }{ 2xy}\times \frac{ 6xz^2 }{ 3xy^2 }\]

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

then when you multiply across...

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

Oh and when you multiply weird numbers and variables like that, multiple the numbers together, and each letter.

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

\[\frac{ 36x^3yz^3 }{ 6x^2y^3 }\]

OpenStudy (thatonegirl_):

Following?

No
