I was just taking the practice exam for module 4 in my Algebra 2 course and I almost got a perfect score. The question that I missed on it was about translating graphs. I understand where I went wrong but I still have a question. If you translate the graph from the parent function f(x) = x^3 to f(x-h) + k, do you have to keep the exponent 3 making the translated function (x^3- h) + k or you have to raise the entire expression to the third power (x-h)^3 +k ?

OpenStudy (loser66):

(x-h)^3 +k
