How did the frequency of the meter stick's vibration affect the pitch of its sound? I had to hold down a yard stick (I don't have a meter stick) on a table with 20cm, 40cm, and 60cm hanging off. Then pluck it to observe the different pitches. I'm not sure what this question is asking, I'm confused.

when you will hit the yard stick with the table it surely gonna vibrate and it will have tension so the frequencies will be generated because of this phenomenon.....and whenever you will strike all the three with the same force then length gonna play am important role as v=f(lambda) and lambda= l/2 or l/4 or as the pattern observed

thank you!
