Line A and line B are parallel. The slope of line A is -2. Find value of a if the slope of line B is 3a+4. Just got given this questions as homework, I am not too sure on the process for solving this. Help please? :)

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

hey :) If the lines are parallel, this means that the slope of BOTH the lines are EQUAL. Therefore since the slope of line A = -2 and slope of line B = 3a+4 Line A and Line B are parallel. So then -2 = 3a + 4 Now you can solve for a :D
