The graph below shows the solution to which system of equations? linear functions y equals negative 2 x plus 4 and y equals x muns 2 A. y = x + 2 y = -2x + 4 B. y = -x - 2 y = 2x + 4 C. y = x - 2 y = -1/2 x + 4 D. y = x - 2 y = -2x + 4 https://roads.advancedacademics.com/contentserver/content/roadssection/307143//2429_algib_solvinglinearsystemsbygraphing_artwork_line24.jpg

OpenStudy (amorfide):

look at the graph and label some coordinates, substitute those x and y values into these equations to see which works for those coordinates and that will give you your answer y=x-2 and y=-2x+4

thank you

OpenStudy (amorfide):

you can tell if a graph has a negative or positive gradient by the direction it is going in if it goes top left to bottom right then it is negative therefore the coefficient of x must be negative if it is going from top right to bottom left then it is positive and the coefficient is positive you can find the y intercept which is where it crosses y you can work out the gradient then you can work out the function from that,
