Strip mining is surface mining, the OPPOSITE of where you take the mineral from below soil and rock and you leave the soil and rock in it's place.

Well, we know that oil, coal and natural gas are mostly gotten from underground mining so that leaves uranium, which makes sense, because it is found in rocks mostly at ground level
