Fan & medal for one question. I just need to know the answer to the +6x^2 part I know the rest already.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x^2

OpenStudy (leozap1):

That's the part I need help with, I know the rest already. That's the only one I don't know. I know 5 is the coefficient, ^3 is an exponent, and -4 is the y intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dude, you do you know that the this polynomial has 3 degree right

OpenStudy (leozap1):

The only thing I need help with is what the mathematical name of the term +6x^2 is. Also the type of polynomial it is I forgot about that part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, so i will give you the properties of the plynomial, then you will figure it out

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the the polynomial is in this form \[ax^2+bx+c\] is called a degree 2 polynomial know as a quadratic so if we have \[ax^3+bx^2+bx+d\] this is in 3 degree known as a cubic, so the cubic has 4 terms which are \[ax^3,bx^2,bx,d\] that means \[bx^2\] is the second term.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Yes I know that already. All I need right now is the mathematical name of the term +6x^2. This question is asking me to give the mathematical names of each term. Its not asking me to solve this equation.

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Would +6x^2 be the variable?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, 6x^2 is called a squared term...by the way in you question it not mentioned that you need the mathematical terms and my friend your words are very harsh, please change that attitude oky

OpenStudy (leozap1):

Okay thanks, and I never said anything harsh.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for the medal...for more infor. 5x^3 is the cubed term
