Find the area of the triangle. (1 point) • 33.62 yd2 • 86.1 yd2 • 344.4 yd2 • 172.2 yd2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (welshfella):

area of a triangle = 0.5*base*height

OpenStudy (welshfella):

you have the length of the base and the height given to you so you only need to plug theses values into the above formula and work it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (k_lynn):

The area formula of a triangle is \[\frac{ B \times H }{ 2 }\]where B is the base of the triangle and H is the height. So all you would need to do is plug in the base in for B and the same for the Height. Then solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 172.2

OpenStudy (welshfella):

no its 0.5 * 8.2 * 21

OpenStudy (welshfella):

i dont know whose formula you used but you either didn't divide by 2 or multiply by 0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i forgot the 0.5 i'll do it again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 86.1

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok Thanks!
