Hi guys, Can someone check my answers please?
Is this based on a story?
yes :)
ok then, give me a moment to skim though the passage.
which questions are correct?
okay 1,3, and 5 are correct, but for #4 I think it might actually be A instead.
on #6, I'm not sure I can't find any sources for it
@ElleCullen you still there?
yes i'm here. I had to refresh the site every few minutes. I got number 6 okay. I rechecked my study sheets. I need help with this: 7. Commenting on the wallpaper, the narrator writes "this paper looks to me as if it knew what a vicious influence it had!" This is an example of which literary device? Metaphor Anaphora Personification Paradox Irony 8. The narrator claims that the shape in the wallpaper"is like a woman stooping down and creeping about behind that pattern." What kind of figurative language is she using? Simile Metaphor Paradox Pun Hyperbole
all right
do you have an idea what #7 is?
for 7, I thought it could be a simile, but that is nit in the choices for 7. for 8, maybe similie because a simile uses the words like or as
#8 is simile
Try reading the statement again for #7 and tell me if you have a possible answer.
maybe in between metaphor and anaphora
Think harder, you can do this! (/◕ヮ◕)/
I'm thinking that irony is also a possible answer, but I am eliminating paradox and personification.
Do you want to hear my answer?
sure :)
It's Personification
you know why?
no, Idon't know why. At my school ,we are told that personification is when the author copares something to "the outdoors",
what the?
it's means giving an nonliving object human characteristics to make it seem living
