A sphere has a radius of 5x + 3. Write a polynomial in standard form that best describe the total surface area of the sphere. Use the formula S = 4pi r^2 for surface area of a sphere.

Whats the radius? All i need to know and i should have your answer.
A sphere has a radius of 5x + 3
5x+3
That doesn't count as a radius... i guess. im using something and it says it has to be positive.
well thats what the qestion says
... It wants a radius and a postive
i feel depressed.... ( ._.)
no, you need to use 5x + 3 as the radius and do some algebra.
@IrishBoy123 exactly
so for surface area = 4 π r^2, replace the r by 5x + 3 then you're schmooking!
