A 1350 kg car drives around a flat 240 m diameter circular track at 25 m/s. What is the magnitude and direction of the net force on the car?

OpenStudy (matt101):

If the car is travelling in a circle, the net force will always be radially inward (toward the centre of the circle). The net force in this case will be the centripetal force, which is calculated with the following equation: \[F_{c}=\frac{mv^2}{r}\]
