OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

Need help!! For the function f(x)= 6x^2-4, estimate the instantaneous rate of change for the given value x a) x=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diffrentiate it and put x=-2

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

where we have to put -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first diffrentiate and tell what u got

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

like how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will come 12x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then put x=-2 in 12x

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

how you get 12x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u know how to diffrentiate

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I know but I forget

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

If u shown me then I will give a medal lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diffrentiation of f(x)^n=n(f(x))^n-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so here 6x^2 on diffrentiation becomes 2.6x and 4 is constant so its diffrentiation is 0
