OpenStudy (blackbird02):

A 13 meter long wooden beam slides down a vertical wall while the other end moves along a horizontal plane at a constant rate of 3 m/sec. What is the speed in m/sec and acceleration of the upper end of the beam when the lower end of the beam is 5 m from the wall?

OpenStudy (blackbird02):

I already have the first steps. I'm just not sure about the acceleration.

OpenStudy (blackbird02):

The speed is -15/12 m/sec right?
