no direct answers please @coke23

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok @happybird7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so @Insert_Name_Here_0000 what u want to do first is add 24 to both sides. when u do that, what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when yo do that lmk ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, what i did was take my numbers from the answers (like -5 and 1) and put the in the place of y. when i got to 1, and did the math, i ended up getting the answer 16. did i d the math right or is there a completely different way to do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can do that, but there's fast way to do it ;) what you can do is add 24 to both sides. this is what you will end up with 8y > 8 then u divide 8 by both sides and get 1. now maybe its faster, but say u had HUGE numbers. it would take forever to put all the numbers in the equation to solve. so just doing it that way, personally, i like better;)

hope that helped @Insert_Name_Here_0000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, ive been taught how to do it that way before. i honestly do not get how to do it that way. ive never understood it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its pretty easy. u just have to basically make sure u do both sides of the equation equally.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope i helped you today! @Insert_Name_Here_0000 lmk if u need anything else anytime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you did, thanks (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! :) np
