Can someone please explain how to do this step by step? :)

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

Question?

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

its right up there :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so volume for a cone is TT x r^2 x h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. Square the radius (6 x 6= 12) So the problem becomes TT x 12 x h 2. Plug in the height (which is 10) so the problem becomes TT x 12 x 10 3. Plug 3.14 for TT and solve :)

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

and what is TT?

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

o wait nvm lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah TT is pi :)

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

okay so my answer would be 376.8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, almost forgot. You have to divide the final answer by 3. so if you needed to use pi, you would have needed to divide 376.8 by 3 but now I see you don't have to used pi for this answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a problem with pi in the answer (like this) Don't do the radius x height x pi. Just do radius x height and divide it by 3

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

okay so i just do 10 x 12 which = 120 than divide 3 and the answer will be 40?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right! So the answer is C :)

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

Okay thanks so much!!! if i have problems with any other question can i tag you ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure

OpenStudy (chunkymonkay):

ok thanks again
