For quiet some time now I've been interested in law enforcement and have been studying their technology and how they do their job. I would like to compare mods with police officers both enforce what they believe in from what the law books state or CoC state. But most of you might say where are we getting here, well how these "enforcers" communicate, why dont mods have their own chat? not a public one that any user can talk in but a private one that only mods can enter and communicate with eachother based on OS issues. Also Ambassadors should have access to this chat I'm not sure if OS still has this problem but I remember we had points that only Ambassadors were on and all the mods were offline and users would take advantage, maybe the ambi's can post in the private mod chat "if theres a mod available please take care of an issue thats located here (puts the link or chat name)" In my opinion this will help OS improve from enforcing the CoC.

Well, we do have a specific place where we talk about issues we disagree and agree. And it's not on OpenStudy. It's away from OS.

There's one for moderators and one for Ambassadors, and it's fun when we all get together and talk about random things. So, we do already have a place for Ambassadors and Moderators. No need to make a new one.

The OSSF chat, which you were invited to, is different from the Moderator things on Yammer. There are a number of good reasons why it is not here. I'll not go into them, but the down times on OS is one that obviously shows the need for off site communications. Also, we do hve ways of communicating here on OS and do so...

Not just that... first, our PMs can't be blocked. We can also use warnings and suspensions creativly. What we put in the message goes to all moderators, so they all know what we are dealing with.

Yet another chat system would be yet another thing to possibly have break. There is no need for that. All we could really use is a seperate page with better organization of our tools.
