Solve the following system of equations by substitution. 2x = 4 2x – y = 5 A. (1/2, 4) B. (2, 9) C. (7, 7) D. (2, -1)

Use your first equation to find x. You have 2x = 4. Divide both sides by two and get what x equals. Then, take your second equation and plug x, while solving for y. Rearranging your second equatino to y = 2x -5 should help you out a bit.
