I'm going to guess that you're book is a work of fiction, most likely fantasy related, and so I'd recommend a tragic ending- it makes readers want more. You could kill off your main character, and, for closure, you could tell the ending by the killer's point of view (not necessarily a killer, it could be whoever, as long as it fits). I've done it before, and the comments I received were amazing. However, if you plan on continuing the story after the first book, you should make the last chapter extremely suspenseful. (this is just a general idea, if you need me to be more specific with recommendations, tag me and tell me what your book is about). :D I hope I helped!
