Which one is an example of synchronous electronic community? instant messaging forum blog newsgroup

OpenStudy (godmod360):

Instant messaging

OpenStudy (godmod360):

do you need me to explain why?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, I absolutely need you to explain why. How in the world is instant messaging, a message from one person to another, a community? It is synchronous, but I see no community to it. For both terms, synchronous and community, none of those is the best representation, three might be both, and one of those three is probably the strongest contender. OpenStudy actually a form of one of those, but there is a better term to represent it... and it is not instant messaging. Now, it would be a different story if it said communication rather than community.

OpenStudy (godmod360):

i do see you point it doesn't form a communal hub of any sort. and closer inspection does reveal a better answer.
