i am just lost on this problem
Just build the table.
Do you see how to do it? The top grid is the given probabilities, given the specified values of X and Y. The bottom grid is the sum of X+Y. Which of these fit the criteria?
i see it, so to find the p(X+Y>3), would i add up the joint probabilities that are greater than 3?
