How can exponential equations with unequal bases be solved? please help

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

one way would be by taking logarithms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo alright. are there any other ways?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

lol can't think of any to be honest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh its okay haha. and by taking logarithms, you mean taking them out of the equation?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

here is an example, solve for x:- 3^x = 2^(x+1) ln 3^x = ln 2^(x +1) x ln 3 = (x+1)ln 2 now its easy
