An 8-pound bag of tomatoes costs $5.60. At the same rate, what would be the cost of 11 pounds of tomatoes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

15.71 because you have to do 8/5.60 then you will get 1.42 then you will take that rate and multiply by 11. (I believe that's the answer) let me know if I'm correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok will do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my options are a. 8.50 b. 7.00 c. 7.70 d. 6.50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what i got when i multiplied 1.42 by 11 was 15.62

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I miss calculated, it is C. You do 5.60/8 it will give you 0.7 then you will multiply that by 11
