Alice purchased paint in a bucket with a radius of 9 in. and a height of 9.5 in. The paint cost $0.09 per in3. What was the total cost of the paint, rounded to the nearest cent? Use 3.14 to approximate pi. $ ? Could someone please help me with this? And maybe explain it so I can be able to do it on my own sometime. Will fan

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

You need to find the volume first, then use \[total cost= cost / \inc^3 \times volume\] to find th evolume, use \[V=\pi r^2 h\]

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

so in your case, r=9, h=9.5, cost/inch3=0.09. rest should be easy

Yes, Thank you. I think I could do the rest by myself. Thank you again! c:
