The supremacy clause in the United States Constitution took some __________ away from individual states by declaring the Nation's law supreme. A. sovereignty B. land C. money D. freedom

OpenStudy (godmod360):

which do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The supremacy clause states that all state judges must follow federal law when a conflict arises between federal law and a state constitution/law of any state. So, when you know that then you can cross off B and C already and it leaves you with D and A. Sovereignty means supreme power or authority while freedom means someone's rights, and in this case the supremacy clause is not taking away the freedom of a state, however it does take away some authority or otherwise sovereignty.
