What is an adaptive radiation? A. a kind of mutation caused by radiation B. a cluster of similar adaptations in a species C. a rapid increase in the number of related species D. an organism that is capable of producing radiation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. a kind of mutation caused by radiation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What lesson is it?

OpenStudy (bookworm14):

well you have to think about what adaptive means. Adaptive means the organism has changed due to environmental factors. It is not A, because you are not talking about radiation causing a mutation. It is not C because we are talking about adapting, not increasing the population. It is not D because it is not talking about an organisms ability to produce radiation. The correct answer is B, because we are talking about all of a species adapting to new surroundings. Hope this helps you some!! ~Bree :) @xBABYxGUBUx
