OpenStudy (alfonso-o):

Hello there, @grex10 and @inowalst ! It's good to read your words again! If I may join in, I thought I'd say how I would approach this exercise... "Write the object pronouns that would correctly complete each sentence. Yo compro el carro para Pablo. Yo compro." Using that example, I'd say it's "Yo compro" that needs to be completed. In order to complete it we'd need to use "object pronouns". So: Yo compro el carro para Pablo. --> Yo compro. --> Yo se lo compro. IO DO *se*: IO (indirect object) substituting *para Pablo*. *lo*: DO (direct object) substituting *el carro*. Would you agree...? Blessings

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Yes, I agree. Sorry about that. I forgot about the last question.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Thank you.

OpenStudy (alfonso-o):

No problem, @inowalst ! I'm glad I can help in some way! Best

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sammixboo @unkownbeast911

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@KendrickLamar2014

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@happy_to_help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheRaggedyDoctor

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

How are you still confused? You don't get it.. or you just need help? ino explained it to you.. She told you what they say.. and then what they're supposed to say.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i read it and it made no sense to me could you help explain

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Okay.. Lets look at the first one.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

She said.. This is what it says: Ella da el papel a ti. This sentence is supposed to say, She gives the paper to me, in Spanish. So the correct way to say this would be, Ella me da el papel a mi.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Do you get that??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but would i fill in the blank between yo______ compro

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Oh. She forgot about that one. So, you want to say that you buy the car for him.. Yo(I) _______ compro(buy) What do you think should go there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ello

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yo ello compro?? Not quite right.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

How would you say, "I buy it for him" in Spanish?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

compro de él

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it de?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Nope. That means, I buy it from him. You want to say, I buy it for him.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it lo?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yo lo compro?? Almost. It's missing one word.. Need help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i dont know what the other word would be

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Okay, so it would be "Yo se lo compro." which means "I buy it for him."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you let me try nuber 2 real quick

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

You're welcome. And okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so she is giving me paper

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Okay. How would you say that? c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ella me dio el papel

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Almost! "giving" meaning the present. "dio" is the past and it means "gave." So we need to make "dio" into the present form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

da?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

"da" means "gives" Almost.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Do you want me to give you the conjugations of "to give"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dar

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes! That's what "to give" means, but we want to find the word that means "giving." I'll just give you a hint and tell you it's "Ella me esta ______ el papel."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dando?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confused on number 3 though

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

The one about "manzana"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

she buys an apple for javier

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Okay. So "buys" is present. Ella ______ una manzana par Javier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

comprar

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

No. That's the verb and it needs to be conjugated. Ella...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

compra

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes! Ella compra la manzana para Javier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is Ella compra la manzana para Javier. Ella________ compra. the blank spot is compra?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Oh no! Since Javier is masculine, should it say "la" or "le" in the blank?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

le

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nd for number 2 is it Ella_______dando__ da.

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

For that one it's "Ella me da el papel a mi."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what goes in the blank Ella da el papel a ti. Ella________ da. is it se?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

"ti" Ella te da..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nosotros vendemos el pan a las personas. Nosotros______ vendemos. i think this one is les

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

I'm not so sure about this one..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yo compro la computadora para mi mamá. Yo_____compro. i feel like this one is le or se

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mostly le because it say la in the sentence

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes, correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yo compro el carro para Pablo. Yo____compro. and this one is lo correct?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Is this from a test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no this is my practice worsheet

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):
