b

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

you're looking for the discount, which is 30%... so multiply 168 and .3

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

no direct answers @teachmeplz

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

C?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

(b's wrong anyways)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

yes :)

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (amorfide):

if the discount rate is 30% that means it decreases since a percentage is out of 100% then you can write it as 30/100 so your answer will be original price x 30/100 \[168\times \frac{ 30 }{ 100 }\]

OpenStudy (amorfide):

then subtract the answer from your original price

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

will yall check 3 more questions PLZ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply 168 by .30 (30% as a decimal) and you will get 50.4 Subtract this from 168, and you get 117.60, which is A.

OpenStudy (amorfide):

wait do you want discount, or discounted price

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

it's not asking how much she's paying, just what the discount is... so you don't need to subtract

OpenStudy (amorfide):

yeah then just do 168x30/100

OpenStudy (rainbow_rocks03):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The discount is $50.4, and the discounted price is $117.60.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):
