Write the standard form of the line that is parallel to 2x + 3y = 4 and passes through the point (1, -4).

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay... what you can do is put that in point slope form, so you can change the points to what you're given to change back into standard form.. does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope..lol

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

ok.. hmm, well do you know how to go from the standard form of an equation to point-slope form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Noooo

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol I'm sorry, I'm just not good with standard form or point-slope form :(

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

ok, well I'm here to help.
