So, then I just gave you the answer to the right-hand version and you gained no understanding.  Look real hard at the solution.  Why did I pick 

(-2) (-5) (-9) (-12)

Instead of 

(-5) (-9) (-12) (-16)?

Where did I get 2 3 4 and 1?

See, that's where it's no good.  You can't know what you are doing if that is all you can offer.

Look at each interval.  Look at the left side and the right side of each interval.  What is the value of the function in those two spots?  What is the width of the interval.

Do this with each interval.
