A box is to be constructed from a sheet of cardboard that is 20 cm by 50 cm by cutting out squares of length x by x from each corner and bending up the sides. What is the maximum volume this box could have?

if so we are looking to find such a function which will represent the volume of our box...what do you think this function will be?

Yes it is. What I did was I multiplied (20-2x)(50-2x)(x) to get 4x^3-140x^2+1000x. Im not sure if that is correct so far.
