A Michelson inferometer is operating in a vacuum chamber using light from a laser with a wavelength of 632nm. A movable mirror is adjusted to give a maximum bright output at the detector. How many times will the centre of the output go dark if you move one of the mirrors by 1.0mm? Does anybody understand this question and can explain it to me?
