Use an appropriate scale, to neatly and clearly draw separate scatter graphs showing the rise and fall of your three shares. My three shares are http://www.asx.com.au/asx/markets/equityPrices.do?by=asxCodes&asxCodes=BHP+ORG+WPL.
I don't how to draw the graph.
My high and low prices for three shares over a 7 day period.

i didn't ask those 2 people but i don't kno who else could help you
ah ok
i don't think i can really help you past that, sorry :/
ye but the thing is it says rise and fall so im guessing its related to the high and low table
but idk know how i should set out the table
twilight your not supposed 2 post google links in questions ... i don't kno y but your going 2 have 2 delete that link
i guess i've never really done this kind of graph before. and i am allowed to give links, as long as i explain how that link helps
ok
which i can't do very well, since i don't know much about this type of graph :/...
I see
ASking people in chat see if they can help

moderator yes help mmeeee plz
Hmm... Are you sure this is suppsed to be a scatter plot?
ye
wait look
Ah, 3 seperate..
yep
its an assignment question
not asking you to do it but help me
"Use an appropriate scale, to neatly and clearly draw separate scatter graphs showing the rise and fall of your three shares." OK, you know what the basics of a scater graph/scater plot are? Like this info? http://www.mathsisfun.com/data/scatter-xy-plots.html
ye
i just don't know how to set it out
OK. So the problem is the x and y stuff?
ye
Well, the rise and fall will be over time since it has days.
so if you just draw something and i can do the rest
with the headings of x and y if possible
If you look at the page I linked, it has a sea level over years. That is basically how you do values over time. Any question where you have time involved the time is almost always the abscissa (horozontal) axis.
From the standpoint of a function, you are inputting time and ouputting a value.
So for the rise and falls i put them together if you know what i mean
a table like this and draw the scatter graph from it or am i wrong
The rise and or fall is just if it is higher or lower. What I see an an issue is that you have both high and low. A lot of times you might use a box to show the high and the low. Other times you use two dots. Also, I am not sure how many plots they want and what the separation will be.
ikr its so confusing this assignment
Looking at the working... unless you get the teacher to clarify it, I would go with one graph per share.
They may just not want the different colors on the graph it would take to represent it otherwise.
wait let me show you this graph
Make into a scatter graph
instead of a line graph
Only difference between that and scatter is that you do not connect the dots...
ye so do you think that i should draw that type of graph?
so the rise(high) and fall(low) will be different
So use two different colours for the scatter graph
and then use a key that red is rise and blue is fall something like that
Genrally, no... You would do it for the value. I can only see two ways to break it into multiple graphs. By high and low prices with all three companies on one graph. By companies with high and low prices on one graph.
So the different colors would either be for different companies or for high and low.
hmmmm
im gonna try to draw on graph and then show you how it looks
