how can i rewrite (x/1.2)+(x/(1.21^2))+(x/(1.22^3))+(x/(1.23^4)) in the most simple way so that i can calculate this fast in my calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since my numerator is the same, i'm thinking there must be like a patters or a rule for this

OpenStudy (vivek3461):

Numerator is common so you can take it out and calculate the remaining instead of dividing the 'X' every time.

i'm not getting the correct answer, do you mean that i should do \[\frac{ x }{ 1.2+1.21^2+1.22^3+1.23^4 }\]

OpenStudy (vivek3461):

No.. Not like that..
