Mathematics 20 Online

Aileen can read 1.5 pages for every page her friend can read. Aileen's mom was very excited and she said to Aileen: "So, if your friend reads 20 pages, you can read 25 in the same time period!" Is Aileen's mom correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply 20 and 1.5 and what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 30, which was what I put on my paper, but got it wrong for some reason.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aileen's mom is wrong, did you put that she was right or wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I put that she was wrong and that Aileen could read 30 pages in the time her friend read 20. My teacher must have made the mistake.
