math problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

well, do you know if it's positive or negative?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Take any two points on the line, let's take (-2, -2) and (2, -4) and plug them into the slope formula. \(m = \dfrac{-4+2}{2+2}\) Simplify that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its negative

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yeah, that takes out options A and D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b or D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm thinking its B

OpenStudy (igreen):

Simplify this: \(m = \dfrac{-4+2}{2+2}\) Add -4 + 2 and 2 + 2 then divide.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yeah, B is correct.. -4 + 2 = -2 2 + 2 = 4 -2/4 = -1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I'm correct when i said B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :P
