what was the effect of the rise of unions in the late 1800s? A. The population in cities grew. B. South Carolina developed many unions prior to World War 1. C. Workers had more bargaining powers with management. D. Living conditions in cities improved significantly. I think it's A is that correct?

I don't think it is A. New factories and immigration were the reason population began to grow. I would say C. With the rise of Unions, workers now had a voice. Often, management was prejudice against the workers and the pay was weak. With Unions, the workers could now bargain with the management for better pay, and better conditions.
